Job Summary:
The Material Flow Operator is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of materials between cross-functional teams, in adherence to all safety protocols and workplace policies. This role plays a key part in maintaining an organized, productive environment, supporting production and warehouse operations, and contributing to overall team success.
Job Duties:
Meet customer's packaging requirements
Stage materials for the Production, Formulation, and Warehouse teams
Safely Store materials for the Production, Formulation, and Warehouse teams
Maintain internal material flow with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet internal operational needs
Ensure adherence to FIFO (First in, First Out) inventory standards
Identify and segregate damaged or defective products accordingly
Oversee the disposal processes and manage materials in the on-site quarantine/hold area
Perform inventory accuracy checks, including end of campaign counts, and random audits
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse through daily housekeeping habits
Ensure compliance with AWSA and Crop Life Protocols
Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Required Knowledge:
Minimum 2 years' forklift operation experience required
Minimum 2 years' warehousing experience required
Experience with systems and handheld scanners preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience with TDG, AWSA, and Crop Life standards is an assetStrong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work safely and follow safety protocols at all times
Collaborative team player focused on continuous improvement and process optimization
Ability to follow instruction from Lead Hands and Manager
Working Conditions:
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs repetitively
Manual dexterity to work on various production lines
Fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Overtime as required
Able to identify and report any health and safety issues
