The Warehouse Material Controller is responsible for handling, moving, loading and unloading materials by Lift Truck and/or using a variety of material handling equipment in the delivery of services to the client in accordance with ASCO policy, procedures, work instructions and agreed service level agreements.
Roles & Responsibilities
Receiving communications from clients and disseminating the information to the appropriate departments internally, especially to ensure all parties understand the urgency level.
Obtaining information for the various departments to facilitate their work.
Determining PO numbers or other applicable client information to assist with the receipt of materials that are not properly identified.
Assisting QA/QC with material movements.
Monitoring the progress of receiving to ensure PO's are received within the target timeframe. If resources are required to ensure targets are met, this is discussed with the Operations Manager.
Obtaining deliveries and third party information for shipments offshore.
Investigating bin discrepancies found during the picking process.
Providing client with information on shipments, e.g. load out/lifts, weights & dims, manifest information, etc.
Investigating manifest discrepancies both from onshore to offshore and vice versa and reporting on same.
Creating block stock notifications for materials with problems that are not identified through quality notifications (basically, all other material problems not related directly to the QA/QC processes).
Meeting with client representatives (and vendors) who visit the facility to view materials.
Assisting with the inventory count process, through investigating discrepancies, reporting on the status of the annual count, reporting on discrepancies and blocking materials from use with assessment issues.
Reporting on transactions and stock levels and KPI's on a monthly basis.

Report any significant incidents / breaches of policy or regulation to the HSEQ Coordinator.
