We are currently looking for an experienced Temporary Materials Controller to support our project team in Texas.

What will you be doing?

  • Work with Materials Control & Logistics team to assure compliance with client and corporate policies, regulations and specifications;
  • Implement efficiencies in process to manage warehousing function, expedite shipments, and increase HSEQ performance;
  • Communicate offshore shipment details between client, and offshore carriers;
  • Ensure material and equipment is delivered to site undamaged, on schedule, and with accuracy;
  • Develop work hour estimates for costing of work scope to client;
  • Analyzing and resolving specific problems as they relate to expediting activity;
  • Communicate materials and equipment requirements to warehousing staff to ensure accuracy of shipments.
  • Manage material/equipment movements and logistical planning in support offshore modification/construction projects and plant maintenance activities
  • Manage coordination and monitoring of material control functions and material transport necessary to meet project requirements in accordance with internal and client procedures
  • Work with internal and client engineering, construction, and procurement teams to advise on factors that potentially affect the delivery of goods and services which can affect project execution.
  • Responsible for backload function with offshore equipment and material returns, returning material to client stock onshore allowing for accurate inventory and cost savings for the client.
  • Focal point for client material control and logistical matters including site visits to client Marine Base, abnormal and critical equipment movements, and document preparation.
  • Proficient with SAP program for material movements, transfers, reservations and manifesting outbound and inbound cargo.
We think you should have:
  • Supply Chain and Logistics Diploma
  • A minimum 8 years\' experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience;
  • Proficiency in standard methods and established procedures.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to deliver results and consistently achieves set goals.
  • Able to adapt and respond to change - accepts new ideas and change initiatives.
  • Ability to establish good relationships with clients and co-workers; relates well to people at all levels.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
