Key Responsibilities

Inventory Accuracy & Transaction Oversight

Monitor daily and weekly inventory transactions (receipts, issues, adjustments, returns, transfers) to detect and address anomalies. Investigate transaction exceptions through root-cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions. Validate ERP part master data (lead time, MOQ, multiples, locations) and advise the Materials Manager and Buyers on discrepancies. Coordinate alternate-part updates to ensure accuracy across downstream processes.

Shortage & Production Support

Track Purchase Order data against demand to proactively flag potential supply issues. Perform daily Work Order shortage analysis and present findings to the Senior Buyer for real-time updates and resolution tracking. Ensure accurate shortage data is reflected in daily production meetings and reports. Generate and distribute shortage and risk reports for current and upcoming assemblies. Follow up with Buyers to confirm shortage resolutions and communicate updates to Production to support scheduling. Support Kitting by printing and prioritizing Work Orders based on material availability.

Analysis & Reporting

Analyze excess and slow-moving inventory to identify causes and recommend corrective actions. Track supplier performance and assist in evaluating new and existing vendors. Provide data and insights on material usage, PPV, and transaction variances to Finance and Cost Accounting. Contribute to excess and obsolescence reviews and justify reserve or write-off recommendations. Support Accounting and Finance by verifying inventory valuation, reconciling discrepancies, and assisting with audits. Prepare concise reports and dashboards for weekly reviews and management meetings with the Materials Manager.

Continuous Improvement & Documentation

Support ongoing improvements in transaction accuracy, data integrity, and materials processes. Document standard operating procedures, RCAs, and lessons learned for training, audit, and continuous improvement purposes.
