Job Description


Summary Analysis, research and development of materials and processing engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for products design, or operations of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and equipment designs. Analysis of damage tolerance, durability, design, allowable. Work Shift: Weekend days shift (Friday - Sunday , 6:00 am - 6:00 pm) Typical Roles/Area of Focus Incumbent’s responsibility will generally focus on Materials Engineering, Chemical Processing, and Surface Engineering.

  • Support internal manufacturing operations in special processing by laboratory testing, process troubleshooting, training, process development and qualification.
  • Support Global Collins Supply Chain by conducting Process Troubleshooting.
  • Support Research and Development by conducting Testing in support of Technology projects.
  • Perform Failure Analysis, prepare and review failure reports.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary problem solving teams using RRCA techniques.
  • Support product and process improvements.
  • Prepare, review and approve engineering procedures and specifications.
  • Other duties as prescribed by the organization

  • With moderate supervision perform the M&PT roles as described above.

Basic Qualifications
  • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • OR in the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements
  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
