Purpose/Summary:


Responsible for directing and controlling all activities on assigned shift to support plant operations by providing functional leadership and guidance. Coordinate and lead the shipping and receiving areas.


Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs and controls palletizing, staging of product, loading, safety and security.
• Develops and maintains a master schedule for manufacturing and purchased components which supports the company's customer service objectives.
• Provides required reviews with production, planning, and procurement personnel to insure proper execution of the plan.
• Tracks actual performance to plans, schedules, and forecasts and adjusts master schedules and inventory plans to support capacity situations.
• Supervises hourly employees to include ensuring compliance with company work rules and policies, safety requirements, assigning of work, performing related administrative functions, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities : The job may have supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree desired.
• 4 - 6 years relative experience
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and management skills required. Must have a proven track record of successful interactions with other employees throughout the organization.
• Solid understanding of equipment function and shipping requirements.
• Technical knowledge of machining tools and practices, materials, heat treating, plating, die castings, sand castings, investment castings, stampings, forgings, powdered metal, plastics processing, and gauging.
• Proficient in any or all of the following software applications: Keycreator, Unigraphics, Solidworks and Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with specifications and requirements for aerospace component manufacturing that includes having knowledge of aerospace welding, coatings, heat treatment, machining and sheetmetal fabrications.
• Solid Program Management experience.
• Results oriented, strong bias for action, self-motivated and self-directed.
• Skilled in talent management including the ability to develop, train, coach, and mentor employees. Able to set clear expectations, goals and hold employees accountable.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding work environment. Ability to balance conflicting and multiple priorities.
