Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and plan all work cells for plant for optimum labor and efficiency.
  • Audit daily schedule attainment and performance report against production plan
  • Review daily cycle count adjustments and address inventory loss; audit labor reporting for accuracy.
  • Develop and implement ordering system for finished goods and work-in-process.
  • Maintain and manage Direct labor Monitor.
  • Plan and schedule for overtime/ downtime based on demand. Analyze all demand incoming from customer.
  • Review and verify all production signals weekly.
  • Complete all ECR and APQP-related activities
  • Provide coverage for other material planner as required.
  • Review inventory levels of parts to ensure that they are within department/company goal.
  • Develop and implement cycle counting system while maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Continuously improve scheduling system to support production requirements.
  • Labor report training and audit counter reading.
  • Ensure, with the cooperation of other Co-Ex-Tec departments and Corporate that the division achieves and maintains the highest possible Customer rating for satisfaction and zero defects in all areas of the business.
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements, QMS (IATF16949), Health and Safety
  • (ISO 45001), EMS (ISO14001), and security (PIP) requirements.
  • Follow all work cell and/or department work instructions/procedures.
  • Promote and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards, safe operating procedures, good housekeeping practices and the observance of protective equipment requirements at all times.
  • Initiate and/or participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Attend authorized training in order to develop and/or maintain relevant job-related knowledge, techniques, skills, and/or certification.
  • May be required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature.
  • Any other reasonable request by Management.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Post secondary education
  • Certified in production & inventory management (CPIM - APICS).
  • 5 - 7 years job related experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong personal computer knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to perform well under pressure and in stressful situations
