Charter Flights: Fly-in/Fly-out \xe2\x80\x93 provided from Calgary or Edmonton Jardeg is recruiting Master Riggers to join the team supporting CNRL Albian team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a temporary role supporting the 2023 Spring Turnaround. Camp accommodation is provided as well, Travel Allowance available for all out of province candidates!

• Supervise rigging selection and use while providing mentorship and assistance.
• Perform spot inspections of rigging plans and operations.
• Identify possible risks to equipment and personnel such as pinch/crush points, line of fire, load drift damage, rigging damage and wind and ground condition concerns.
• Ensure proper load control: tag lines, communication, exclusion zones and load transfer.
• Identify critical lift situations and directing use of relevant controls including capacity base, 2 Crane lifts and lifting over Live equipment.
• Plan and ensure proper use of winches and multi part line and pulley operation.
• Ensure proper use of hand rigging and provide education and mentorship as needed.
• Ensure proper time sensitive inspection tagging is in place and utilized.
• Calculate sling tension, rigging calculations, weight estimations and center of gravity while ensuring proper component selectin, as well as calculate and plan load ground up righting and tipping.
• Hold and direct per-lift meetings.

Position Qualifications:

• 3+ Years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a Turnaround/Shutdown position.
• Master Rigger Certification from Industrial Training International (ITI).
• Construction Safety Training System (CSTS 09) OR Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
• Journeyperson Certification/ Interprovincial Red Seal or Blue Seal Certification (Considered an Asset).
• Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection (Considered an Asset).
• Energy Safety Canada Confined Space (Considered an Asset).
• Formal Supervisory or Management Training Certification (Considered an Asset).
• Perform proper execution and best practice for load drifting and chain hoist operations.
