We are searching for an analytical and self-motivated Master Production Scheduler who works well in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and providing instruction on production's needs through the interpretation of the demand plan coming from our Headquarters. Success in this position requires strong communication skills and the ability to present clear, data-driven recommendations to production leaders, global teams and other key stakeholders.

To be successful as a Master Production Scheduler, you must be able to proactively identify and prevent potential incidents by working closely with production leaders, materials management, logistics, engineering, and quality. An outstanding Master Production Scheduler can juggle multiple responsibilities at once and make informed decisions in fast-paced environments while ensuring alignment between scheduling, capacity, and shop floor execution.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability

Plan and control all scheduling activities supporting RIMOWA North America (RNA) Inc. production. Balance production with demand to support targets consistent with our customer service levels, inventory turn goals and capacity utilization. Develop, manage, and adjust detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for assembly, pre-assembly, pre-production, based on equipment, headcounts, and raw material availability. Create detailed production schedules for pre-assembly of component items, assembly of finished goods, and seasonal and prototype first-offs. Build business plan summaries for assigned product types and selected SKU's including demand and production data. Provide production schedules by SKU and by line; maintain and improve compliance metrics, reporting actual versus plan. Manage and update production schedules every day to ensure alignment with operational realities. Maintain and improve production compliance metrics to measure performance - report actual vs. plan. Use capacity planning tools to determine if production will be constrained in future periods, load level production plan, and identify potential corrective actions such as working overtime, adding equipment, or expediting Lead cross-functional alignment with procurement to optimize material readiness, mitigate supply risks, and support agile rescheduling based on shortages or changing priorities. Monitor and manage production capacity, including leading bi-weekly capacity reviews, long-term planning and updating PDP dashboards Organize daily meetings to present and discuss the production schedule Maintain detailed records and prepare and submit necessary reports (daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, including production cases, standard hours, daily targets, backlog reports, and updates to Finance.) Assign and reassign work orders, including creating, splitting, and adjusting orders. Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders across production, materials, logistics, finance, engineering, and leadership. Report and follow up on material shortages in collaboration with the materials team; oversee weekly carry-overs across all schedules. Conduct regular shop floor visits (e.g., twice weekly at 9 AM shop floor; daily with Supervisors) to validate schedule execution, gather feedback, and address operational issues. Support scheduling tool development in partnership with IT, as well as SAP Production Planning implementation, standard time updates, and efficiency improvement initiatives. Manufacturing Environment:

Five plus years' experience in planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment; Demonstrated experience in developing, managing, and adjusting complex production schedules for various production stages and departments.

Certification:

APICS, CIPP or CPSM preferred

Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize production schedules and capacity utilization.

Advanced Excel & Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
