Position Summary:

Building 100 & 200, are new Vaccine manufacturing facilities being constructed at our Toronto site, which are extremely exciting and complex projects that will position Sanofi Pasteur on the cutting edge of the digital evolution of biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The IMS team is at the forefront of the transformation and this position will challenge individuals to work as part of dynamic, cross functional and multi-disciplinary team both locally and globally. As part of a team of MBR Designers and Business Analysts designers, the MBR Designer is responsible for modeling the manufacturing processes in a Manufacturing Execution System (PAS|X). This position will report to the MES Project Lead and will be a key contributor to the Integrated Manufacturing Solutions team. The MBR Designer will work closely with key stakeholders in a variety of departments within Sanofi to ensure that all operational requirements at met and the execution processes are fully integrated with ERP, PCS and data historian. The MBR Designer will also participate the testing and validation of the MBRs.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the different stages of the B100 project:

Gather user requirements and write functional specifications.

Design manufacturing processes in MES system PAS|X.

Implement process changes and enhancements in existing electronic batch records using PAS|X.

Translate business processes into manufacturing systems functionality and configuration.

Find and implement solutions to identified gaps between operational processes and systems functionality.

Responsible for System Configuration and Master Data Management activities.

Author and execute test cases against system functional specifications.

Train end users and support User Acceptance Testing.

Key Requirements:

Degree in computer science/Industrial engineering/Information systems or related discipline or equivalent work experience required

2-5+ years in Manufacturing/IT/Pharmaceutical or related industry.

Experience with PAS-X, Syncade, PharmaSuite, Simatic-IT or other MES solutions is preferred.

Demonstrated Execution Systems knowledge (MES, PCS, Data Historian) is preferred.

Technical knowledge: Experience with programming languages and database platforms.

Working knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and support methodologies.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work in an agile, team-oriented and collaborative environment.

Ability to facilitate meetings and follow up with resulting action items.
