We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients achieve relaxation and relief from pain through various massage techniques. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to create a calming environment for clients.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough client assessments to determine individual needs and preferences.
Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good condition.
Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments as needed.
Document client sessions accurately, noting any changes in condition or feedback.
Collaborate with other wellness professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy techniques.
Qualifications
Valid state license or certification in massage therapy.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
Previous experience in a spa, clinic, or wellness center is preferred but not required.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in the field of massage therapy.
