Site Description: Oak Valley Health's Markham Stouffville Hospital offers diagnostic and emergency services, and clinical programs in childbirth and children's health, surgery, acute care medicine, cancer care, and mental health.
Position: Security Team Lead
Site: Markham Stouffville Hospital
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Status: Full-Time
Hours: Continental Nights (1900-0700 hrs.)
Pay Rate: $20.15/hr

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training.
• Ensures all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift.
• Ensures site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and hospital security policies and procedures.
• Plans and implements shift work schedules.
• Ensures all Security Guards have received the mandatory training.
• Motivates staff and issues commendations.
• Disciplines staff when necessary and ensures proper documentation is passed onto head office.
• Attendance Management
• Performs security audits.
• Documents and investigates security incidents and complaints.
• Communicates any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager

Requirements:

• At least one year of security experience in a team lead role preferred
• Post-secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized college is preferred
• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact, and diplomacy.
• International Association of Healthcare Security Services (IAHSS) certificate would be an asset
• Valid Ontario Security License
• Immunization Record including MMR. Varicella, and 2 TB tests
• First Aid & CPR Level C
• Vaccination Status
• Authorized to legally work in Canada

Certification Requirements (All)
Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Immunization Record for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella and two step TB skin test
COVID Double Vaccinated
Minimum of 2 years security experience
Police Foundation Diploma
A Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
Proof of immunizations for TB, MMR, Varicella
Do you have 1-2 years of security Team Lead or Supervisor experience?
