About the Role At Family Services of Greater Vancouver, we\xe2\x80\x99ve been helping people in crisis since 1928. As a non-profit, we help people develop skills and knowledge, empowering our neighbours to create positive change in their lives. Our team is made up of more than 420 staff, including expert counsellors and support workers who provide compassionate, client-centered care to youth experiencing homelessness, families and children impacted by trauma, victims of domestic violence, and other vulnerable people from an evidence-based, trauma-informed lens. Working within the mission, vision, values and person-centred philosophy of the Agency, the Marketing Specialist reports to the Manager, Communications and Advocacy and works closely with the Manager as well as the Communications Specialist on digital and traditional marketing outputs, as well as internal design needs. They actively support the Agency\xe2\x80\x99s awareness and goals around diversity and inclusion.

Salary: GS 10 Ranging from $52,361.40- $58,058 annual salary

What you bring: Responsibilities
Participate in annual marketing strategy and execution
Create marketing campaigns for programs and initiatives
Support marketing objectives through community-driven outreach
Manage Google Suite including Search, Ads, and Analytics
Oversee advertising initiatives including traditional and digital ads
Measure and analyze digital marketing tactics
Lead web and newsletter projects
Provide basic design support for marketing materials
Education, Training, Experience
Degree or diploma in business, marketing, or other relevant discipline preferred
2-3 years experience in a marketing, non-profit, or social services setting
Recent graduates are encouraged to consider past volunteer, education, and other experiences towards their overall experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
General knowledge or interest in the social services sector
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Demonstrated marketing skills, including traditional and digital approaches
Motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work under shifting priorities and deadlines while maintaining a positive outlook and personable communication style
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Familiarity with Canva or other design programs
Experience with or willingness to learn Adobe products a plus
Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Certificate a plus
Additional Requirements
Successful completion of criminal record check
Proof of Covid-19 vaccination status will be required
