The Opportunity





Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Specialist - Social and Creative is responsible for growing our social media presence and creating content to drive brand awareness and engagement. The Marketing Specialist is a curious, creative content creator and social media professional who can merge design, messaging and marketing strategy to deliver high-impact communications. The position involves creating visually appealing and engaging videos and marketing materials, growing and engaging with the community, and leveraging analytics to optimize performance. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a keen eye for design and video content, storytelling and marketing acumen.

The Responsibilities



Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies to grow social media accounts to achieve business goals, including increasing brand awareness, online reputation management and driving website traffic Lead organic social channels including content development, publishing, testing and reporting Tap into social trends and cultural moments, develop timely content and be part of the conversation Lead creative concepting and production on social, campaigns, digital, and traditional channels Write compelling and engaging copy for social media posts, campaigns and marketing materials tailored to each platform Create engaging short-form video content, reels, and stories for social, website and marketing profile platforms Design eye-catching graphics and visual assets for social media, website, digital campaigns, event activations and internal communications Foster and manage an engaged online community by monitoring discussions, responding to organic and paid inquiries, and moderating user-generated content Measure, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to drive growth Contribute to our small and agile team, maintaining flexibility to work on other marketing projects

The Candidate



Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, New Media Production and Design, or a related field 3+ years of experience in content creation, social media roles, preferably covering both B2B and B2C efforts Strong creative skills and writing and storytelling abilities, with a passion for crafting clear and compelling messages across a variety of platforms and formats Expert knowledge in LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit with a strong understanding of organic growth strategies Experience with design applications such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva to create compelling posts, reels, one-pagers, brochures, presentations and other marketing collateral Strong video editing skills using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar High attention to detail including proofreading skills, and ability to adjust content to different platform tones Understanding of social media algorithms and best practices for engagement Experience with community management and audience interaction Strong analytical skills to measure and improve marketing performance and experience with analytics tools Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, remote-first, startup environment Knowledge of the healthcare industry, HIPAA, or a relatable, highly regulated industry is preferred Enthusiastic, highly collaborative team player with exceptional creativity, problem solving, and communication skills Aligned with Lavender's values: First, be kind; Act with integrity; Grow together; Be exceptional; Celebrate & have fun; Nurture ideas (inclusivity, diversity, equity, access & service)
