Panorama Mountain Resort seeks a Marketing Project Specialist who has a creative mindset, but who is also pragmatic, and results focused. The successful candidate will help champion the brand, articulate the resort\xe2\x80\x99s unique experiences, and professionally prepare designs. Through imagery, graphic design, and technical savvy this person will promote the resort\xe2\x80\x99s experience and its special programs through print and digital marketing initiatives.

As a key member of the marketing team, the successful candidate will have two main areas of focus. Graphic design and pre-production (60%) and general marketing support (40%). Percentages may change as required with business needs throughout the year.

To excel in this role, the applicant will need a strong practical marketing and communications background, with a focus on producing visual content. An acute understanding of Adobe design software is imperative. Experience in the tourism and hospitality sector is essential.

The successful candidate will have the rare opportunity to work on all aspects of resort marketing with a team of professionals who think (and talk) about skiing, snowboarding, golf, and mountain biking every day.

Essential Functions:

  • Design and pre-production:
  • Work with the sales and marketing manager to deliver purpose-built original designs with minimal supervision.
  • Meet with team managers & directors to determine requirements and vision for design elements, which may include multiple strategy meetings and multiple iterations of design.
  • Create on-resort communication making sure there is a concerted effort to reaching those guests who can have the greatest impact on Panorama\xe2\x80\x99s success. These include maps, signage, decals, and promotional materials.
  • Generate outbound materials to market Panorama in a way that engages with the prospect. These include sales flat sheets, print ready or web ready PDF\xe2\x80\x99s, trade show displays, collateral, and presentations.
  • Interpret strategic direction into high-quality design that is in harmony with an established brand identity.
  • Ensure design work is successfully completed on time, on budget and on trend.
  • Review finalized materials with the director to ensure there are no errors and attain approval prior to production.
  • Coordinate with production (print houses or agencies) to prepare the materials for output.
  • Create on-resort communication making sure there is a concerted effort to reaching those guests who can have the greatest impact on Panorama\xe2\x80\x99s success. These include maps, signage, decals and promotional materials.
  • Generate outbound materials to market Panorama in a way that engages with the prospect. These include sales flat sheets, print ready or web ready PDF\xe2\x80\x99s, trade show displays, collateral and presentations.
  • General marketing support:
  • Work with the sales and marketing team to gain an intimate knowledge of the business to anticipate needs and develop materials to explore opportunities with the goal of growing the business.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and strategy sessions to provide suggestions on how to best deliver results through design executions and establishing deliverables.
  • Assist in other non-design marketing tasks such as photo shoot support, visual asset development, promotional signage installations, and VIP hosting support.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager.
Experience/Requirements:
  • University / College education with specialization in marketing or communication.
  • A minimum one year of experience in a marketing, communications or a design role including end-to-end design and production.
  • Proficient in Adobe inDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat PDF Maker
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Articulate English speaker with very strong writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to work under pressure while handling multiple projects at once.
  • Comfortable and enthusiastic in an innovative organization undergoing positive change and adaptation.
  • An ability to respond quickly to requests, ideas, and suggestions in a non-defensive way.
  • High energy levels with the drive to make things happen.
  • Willing and available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • An active interest in snow sports, mountain biking and other mountain resort leisure activities.
