Our Daily Bread Ministries Canada is a Canadian charitable organization dedicated to making the life-changing wisdom of the Bible understandable and accessible to all. Using Christian principles in all our materials, the truths of Scripture are presented through print, digital, audio and video resources. Perhaps best known for the Our Daily Bread daily devotional, the Canadian office also translates additional resources into French and supports additional languages through cooperation with other Our Daily Bread Ministries offices around the world.
Position Summary:
Ensure complete, thorough, and successful alignment of marketing projects with the ministry's strategic goals, construct detailed work plans, coordinate teams, achieve milestones, and communicate results to stakeholders. Provide assistance in content creation and developing marketing strategies that support the mission and vision of Our Daily Bread Ministries Canada.
Essential Functions
? Oversee multiple ministry projects as assigned, from inception to completion.
? Work with all aspects of the Marketing Department and appropriate ministry teams to develop and establish project plans, requirements, deliverables, and deadlines that move the ministry toward meeting its strategic goals.
? Write and/or proofread (brochures, advertisements, print and digital marketing materials, etc.) according to ministry guidelines.
? Undertake some daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department's activities.
? Can articulate and communicate the marketing vision, purpose, and positioning of projects. Coordinate communication among various teams and with outside vendors to ensure a complete understanding of project plans, requirements, deliverables, and deadlines.
? Identify, track, and report on each project's scope, timeframe, and cost. Develop specific process flows for each project and make recommendations on process improvements.
? Work with print marketing and design teams, digital marketing, information services, operations, customer service and others collaboratively to provide clarity, efficiency, and thorough completion of projects.
? Cooperate with Digital Marketing, including but not limited to assisting with the project coordination of ministry campaigns and projects that include a combination of print and digital components.
? Have a thorough knowledge of products, target audience, and peer ministry activity in the market. Brainstorm ideas and concepts with marketing teams and individuals involved in specific projects and campaigns.
? Take responsibility for successfully planning and ensuring all marketing collateral projects are delivered on time and with excellence, including coordinating marketing copy needs for products, websites, social media channels, brochures, promotional videos, and any other forms of advertising, promotion, and content marketing.
? Coordinate ongoing research efforts around current and future segments, audience needs, and audience behaviour to create relevant, compelling, and differentiating communication, in tandem with the appropriate marketing stakeholder.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Study or Knowledge and Experience:
? Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, corporate journalism, or similar area of study required.
? Project Management Professional (PMP), Marketing Project Management and/or Agile/SAFe certification or equivalent experience preferred.
? Experience with marketing in the publishing or other content-based industry is preferred but not required.
? At least two years of professional experience in marketing planning and execution.
? Must be capable of strategic and tactical planning within a marketing framework.
? Print and digital marketing competencies and understanding of analytics are required (web, social media, email, newsletters, direct mail, etc.)
? Must be capable of coordinating multiple marketing efforts and keep track of the details for several simultaneous projects.
? Demonstrate ability to be a self-starter and assertive in dealing with individuals/groups/vendors.
? Able to set agendas, coordinate and lead meetings as necessary, and maintain deadlines and approvals for all projects.
? Capable of excellent diplomatic oral/written communication skills including knowledge and ability to negotiate depending upon need.
? Strive to live a life consistent with biblical principles and demonstrate continued growth and spiritual development.
Internal Work Environment
? Must be capable of diplomatic partnership-style communication that is clear and concise with the assigned ministry team(s) in Canada, as well as ODB ministry teams globally.
? Persuasion, discretion, and tact are needed to educate and gain support for complex marketing efforts with individuals and/or groups throughout the organization.
External Work Environment
? High degree of communication required to network with other organizations, consultants, vendors, and ministry ambassadors.
? Professionalism, assertiveness, tact, and persuasion required.
? Responsible for decisions that will affect how the public views the ministry.
Leadership Responsibilities
? Collaborate with the Director of Marketing, Director of Operations, and/or Human Resources representative, depending on the type of project, and manage marketing execution for all approved projects and other projects assigned by the Director of Marketing.
Miscellaneous
Some travel within Canada and the United States might be required.
Work in a secure environment, which requires a background check and police clearance as a part of the employment contract. A confidentiality agreement is required to conform to privacy policies.
Should be comfortable with their faith and biblical knowledge.
Participate in regular devotional discussion and prayer time.
