Humble Bee is a small but mighty apiary in Hamilton, dedicated to sharing the sweetness of our region through locally harvested honey and natural beeswax products. We are passionate about bees, sustainable practices, and connecting with our community. Your Role



As the Marketing & Partnerships Specialist, you will be the engine of our growth and the heart of our brand. This is a career-defining opportunity for a creative and growth-minded individual to make a tangible impact.



This hybrid role requires you to be both our:



Community Architect: You will own our brand's voice, creating engaging content and building genuine relationships with our customers online, at markets, and in the community. You'll turn followers into loyal fans.

Growth Driver: You will actively drive sales by managing our e-commerce store, seeking out and securing new wholesale partners, and developing marketing campaigns that translate directly to revenue.


This isn't about following a playbook; it's about helping us create one. You will have the autonomy to pioneer new ideas and the satisfaction of seeing your work directly shape the future of a beloved Hamilton brand.



Key Responsibilities



Customer Experience & Sales: Manage customer communications via email, phone, and in-person. Process orders, provide exceptional service, and ensure a positive experience for every customer.

Social Media & Content Creation: Develop and execute our social media strategy (Instagram, Facebook, etc.). Create engaging content (photos, videos, stories, copy) that showcases our products and builds our online community.

Marketing & Community Outreach: Plan and execute creative marketing campaigns. Represent our brand at farmers' markets and local events to generate buzz and drive sales.

Wholesale & Retail Partnerships: Identify, build, and nurture relationships with local retailers and businesses to expand our wholesale accounts.

E-commerce Management: Assist in managing our online store, updating product listings, and ensuring a smooth online shopping experience.

Team Collaboration: As a key member of our small team, be ready to lend a hand with other tasks as needed. We all pitch in to get the job done!


What You'll Bring to the Hive



1-2+ years of experience in a sales, marketing, or customer-facing role.

A genuine passion for local food, pollinators, and natural products.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you're a natural storyteller and relationship-builder.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Proficiency in creating engaging content for social media/newsletters, Instagram (including Reels/Stories) and Facebook.

Comfortable using content creation tools like Canva, and Meta Suite

Experience with e-commerce platforms (like Shopify, Squarespace, etc.).


Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)



Graphic design skills

A background or strong interest in agriculture, beekeeping, or the local food scene.

A valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle for travel within the Hamilton area.

CRM software experience

Hours are Tuesday to Friday 10am - 6pm and Saturday 930am -430pm
