Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing Manager to oversee all aspects of our clientxe2x80x99s marketing initiatives. This role requires a dynamic leader who can direct and manage external agencies and a small team to deliver impactful marketing programs. As the Marketing Manager, you will manage campaigns across various channels, including events, social media, activations, and traditional media, while ensuring all initiatives are aligned with our clientxe2x80x99s overall brand and business objectives. This is a 1 year contract and fully onsite in north end of Toronto.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all marketing programs, including events, activations, social media, digital campaigns, public relations, and traditional media.
  • Monitor market trends and consumer behaviour to ensure marketing strategies remain innovative and effective.
  • Plan and execute engaging events and activations that enhance our clientxe2x80x99s profile.
  • Collaborate with partners on promotions.
  • Evaluate event performance through attendance, sales uplift, and provide actionable insights for future initiatives.
Social Media and Digital Campaigns:
  • Direct the social media strategy and manage our clientxe2x80x99s social media agency to ensure consistent and engaging content that reflects the brand's identity and connects with target audiences.
  • Oversee the creation and management of digital campaigns (email, social, website, and paid media) to promote events, offers, and key messages.
  • Ensure digital marketing is data-driven, using analytics to optimize performance and achieve measurable results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, collaborating on co-branded promotions and marketing initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Manage external marketing agencies, including PR, digital, creative, and media buying, ensuring all deliverables meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Oversee creative development, from concept through execution, ensuring consistency in brand messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Manage relationships with media partners, securing advantageous advertising opportunities and sponsorships.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a small marketing team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Provide guidance, training, and development to direct reports, ensuring they have the resources and support necessary to deliver exceptional work.
  • Ensure seamless coordination and communication between internal team members and external agencies.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Monitor, track, and report on the performance of all marketing initiatives, analyzing results to optimize future strategies.
  • Provide detailed marketing reports to the centrexe2x80x99s senior leadership, including ROI assessments and recommendations for future campaigns.
Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of omnichannel marketing experience
  • Proven track record in developing and managing multi-channel marketing programs (events, digital, social media, experiential/activations, and media campaigns).
  • Strong familiarity in managing external agencies for social media, creative, and events.
  • Strong understanding of brand activation.
  • Experience managing a small team, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop team members are the Coordinator level.
  • Strong agency management experience, overseeing creative, media, and event partners to deliver on marketing objectives.
  • Hands-on experience with event planning, execution, and promotion, both in-person and virtual.
  • Expertise in social media management and strategy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal teams, retailers, vendors, and external agencies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
