We're growing fast and are looking for a
Marketing Manager
who can take the lead in shaping and executing our entire marketing strategy. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who thrives on ownership, creativity, and measurable results.
Position Overview
The
Marketing Manager
will lead all marketing initiatives for Bleacher Rentals and the Norfolk Pro Rodeo.
You'll be responsible for building and managing the company's marketing plan from the ground up -- including strategy, budgeting, execution, and performance tracking. You must be constantly learning and adapting to new trends, such as AI searching.
You'll work directly with the owners, but will be expected to operate
independently
, using your expertise to plan, prioritize, and execute campaigns that drive growth, brand awareness, and results.
This role is best suited for a self-starter who's confident making decisions, managing projects end-to-end, and "getting sh*t done."
Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the company's
marketing strategy
, calendar, and budget.
Develop and execute a comprehensive annual plan aligned with business goals.
Identify target markets, growth opportunities, and performance KPIs.
Report regularly on campaign performance, ROI, and key insights.
Act as the
marketing lead
-- confidently making recommendations, setting priorities, and driving initiatives forward with minimal supervision.
Digital Marketing & Advertising
Manage and continually improve the
Bleacher Rentals website
(WordPress), including SEO, analytics, and conversion optimization.
Develop and manage online ads (Google, Meta, and other online ad campaigns) to maximize ROI.
Create and manage
email marketing campaigns
in HubSpot -- list segmentation, automation, and performance tracking.
Use data and analytics to refine strategy and allocate budgets effectively.
Optimize our online presence for AI use
Content Creation & Brand Management
Plan and produce engaging
marketing content
across channels -- video, social media, digital ads, posters, and more.
Grow and manage the company's presence on
Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok
, etc.
Lead content shoots and coordinate creative production with the team once per week.
Ensure brand consistency and tone across all platforms and materials.
Event & Tradeshow Marketing
Plan and organize
tradeshow and convention
participation (pre-show marketing, materials, logistics, and follow-up). (You don't have to attend)
Create
marketing plans for on-site events
-- ensuring Bleacher Rentals is properly promoted wherever our bleachers are delivered (banners, signage, etc.).
Lead all
marketing for the Norfolk Pro Rodeo
, including digital ads, social media, partnerships, and local media (radio, press, etc.).
Recruitment & Partnerships
Support
recruiting efforts
by promoting Bleacher Rentals as a top place to work.
Develop advertising and content to attract drivers and crew members.
Manage
sponsorships and partnerships
that align with our goals and deliver measurable ROI.
Identify
strategic alliances
with other rental or event companies to expand reach.
Design & Collateral
Design and produce print and digital materials (flyers, ads, stickers, signage, etc.).
Coordinate with vendors and printers to ensure timely, high-quality output.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital media.
Must live within driving distance of Norfolk County for on-site content & collaboration days.
Proven ability to
develop and execute marketing plans independently
-- from concept to delivery.
Strong skills in WordPress, HubSpot, Google Ads, SEO, and social media management.
Experience with content creation (video, photography, and design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite).
Exceptional communication and project management skills.
Confident decision-maker who thrives on autonomy and accountability.
Experience with event, tradeshow, or sponsorship marketing is an asset.
Strong knowledge of AI trends and tools.
