The Halifax Mooseheads are a Major Junior Hockey team in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and a member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). Founded in 1994, they have appeared in the QMJHL President\'s Cup Finals four times, winning in 2013, with the other three appearances coming in 2003, 2005 and 2019. They hosted the Memorial Cup tournament in 2000 and 2019 and won the tournament in 2013. As the premier sports and entertainment organization in the region, the Mooseheads boast one of the highest attendances in the Canadian Hockey League, along with a substantial TV, radio, and social following, and have produced numerous NHL draft picks and stars.

On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Marketing Manager to join their team of dedicated professionals in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the President, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for promoting the Mooseheads brand and driving individual ticket sales through integrated marketing campaigns. The Marketing Manager will lead and manage the marketing department in the development and execution of all promotions, inside and outside of the game. The Marketing Manager will be a key player on a team committed to raising the bar in the sports and entertainment industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute a marketing and individual ticket sales strategy to achieve the team sales objectives and grow brand awareness.
  • Develop and optimize all marketing and promotional campaigns inside and outside of Mooseheads games.
  • Lead, manage and motivate the marketing team.
  • Develop and oversee the execution of the team\'s brand strategy using all platforms.
  • Oversee and manage all mediums used to reach Mooseheads fans including traditional and non-traditional media.
  • Leverage best in class marketing software and tools to measure campaign effectiveness, outreach, and most effective ways of reaching our fanbase and demographics.
  • Play an integral role in game operations by leading all marketing efforts for the fan experience.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in Marketing.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing required, and additional business/communications honors will be strongly considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative and high energy.
  • Highly organized.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work well on a team and independently.
  • Determined, dedicated, and passionate about their work.
