We are seeking a dynamic

Marketing Manager

to lead the marketing, communications and event initiatives at the Londonderry Shopping Centre located at Edmonton, Alberta. In this role, you will develop the shopping centre's event strategies to drive traffic, increase tenant sales, and enhance the overall guest experience. This role plays a critical part in building the mall's brand presence in the community and supporting the success of our tenants. This is an in-person role based physically at the Londonderry Shopping Centre.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:



Marketing Strategy & Planning



Develop and implement the shopping Centre's annual marketing strategies and budgets with the ultimate goal of increasing customer traffic and driving sales growth; Analyze market trends, customer data, and performance metrics to refine strategies. Drive initiatives that support leasing, operations, and retailer promotions. Digital & Traditional Marketing Oversee the mall's website, email campaigns, and all social media platforms. Collaborate with graphic designers and content creators for branded campaigns. Manage SEO/SEM, digital advertising, and marketing automation tools. Events & Promotions Plan and execute engaging mall events, seasonal activations, and community partnerships. Coordinate holiday campaigns, contests, and experiential marketing activities. Liaise with existing and new to market tenants to support in-store promotions and new openings.

Tenant Relations



Support and partner with over 165 Londonderry tenants by providing them with marketing tools to promote their store including website, digital directory, and social media promotion to enhance their exposure Engage retailers to participate in and add value to the mall's numerous campaigns, special events, and contests Public Relations & Communications Maintain positive relationships with media outlets and community and non-profit organizations. Support schools and non-profit groups within the area to give back to local initiatives and reinforce Londonderry's leadership position as a community leader Draft press releases, internal memos, and crisis communications as required. Act as a brand ambassador and key contact for all mall communications.

Budget, Administration



Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation and ROI tracking. Prepare monthly marketing reports and post-campaign performance analysis. Work with external vendors, agencies, and consultants. Oversee promotion fund billings, approve invoices, and ensure spending is adhering to budgeted amounts Work closely with Specialty Leasing to develop strategic partnerships and sponsorships; Oversee the implementation, operation and promotion of the centre's gift card program; Support the management and leasing teams in developing materials and tactics to promote Londonderry Mall and Edmonton to future retailers;

Guest Services



Oversee, coach, and provide guidance to a team of Guest Services professionals including a Guest Services Supervisor and Guest Services representatives Act as a brand ambassador and ensure all staff provide best-in-class customer service to all guests, tenants, and contractors Engage staff to participate in marketing campaigns and events to enhance the overall experience of the shopping centre Ensure staff are well-informed of our tenant mix, along with all mall policies including operational guidelines, retailers guidelines, security protocol, code of conduct, and other processes to facilitate strong communication with customers and tenants.

Skills and Experience Required:



College level degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in retail, shopping centres, or commercial real estate. Relevant experience in digital marketing, social media, PR, and traditional media Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and social media. Proven working knowledge of social media platforms, internet/web, mobile & associated marketing techniques; Experience and a good understanding of special events, community relations, media relations; Self-motivated, innovative and able to deal within a fast-paced environment; Ability to analyze demographics and related research information; Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills; Knowledge of visual merchandising, sales, and retail operations is an asset; As an integral part of the property management team, interface with all members of the property team and contribute to collective goals, objectives and events; Ability to work after hours and on weekends for special events intermittently as necessary; Computer literate - Excel, Word, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or other graphics programs Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Creative thinker with a data-driven approach to problem solving.

Working Conditions:



This is an on-site, full-time role requiring occasional evening and weekend availability for events. Fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholder coordination.
