Position Description:

Reporting into the Divisional Marketing Manager, the Marketing Manager will provide strong hands-on development and delivery of integrated campaigns (direct, online, traditional) from brief development to go-to-market with strategic insight, client focus and executional excellence for their specific Divisions within the College.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plans and develops marketing and communications strategies in line with the College Business Plan and branding initiatives that enables the Office of Advancement (OoA) to achieve annual applicant, enrollment targets, and top-of-mind awareness targets, drive donor and partner support for the college, and increase alumni engagement (i.e., digital, in-person, etc.).
  • Utilizes data both internally and externally to identify key analytics for use in planning and monitoring delivery of objectives.
  • Develops strategic briefs to suppliers and recommend advertising and media plans leveraging cross-college synergy to maximize efficiency working through approved channels.
  • Provides marketing and communications expertise and guidance to divisions based on market research and portfolio analysis to achieve top-of-mind awareness objectives.
  • Ensures the OoA has marketing and communication tools to meet their strategic objectives.
  • Collects and prepares/briefs liaison/recruiting team members on marketing plan priorities, positioning, and programs.
  • Project management and implementation of divisional marketing requirements in consultation with the OoA management team.
  • Initiates and coordinates projects with respective teams within Marketing and Communications utilizing established protocol.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Educational and Experience requirements:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent with emphasis on Marketing or Business Administration.
  • Minimum five (5) years\' experience in a marketing management role in B2C industry, product marketing, and/or advertising agency (strategic planning).
  • Experience with content creation and marketing, business/brand planning, guidance of the advertising creative development and media planning process, marketing research management, project management, budget management, and stakeholder engagement/management.
  • Understanding of post-secondary landscape, specifically Ontario\'s Colleges Advancement/Alumni experience is an asset.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Solid interpersonal, leadership, planning, time and project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication/presentation (verbal/written) skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and as a team leader depending on the situation/project and manage priorities and multiple deadlines.
  • Adept at working with, influencing, advising, and communicating with very senior managers.
  • Ability to analyze data derived from market, industry and educational sector research and extract insights that may influence Divisional activities.
  • Excellent computer skills, in particular MS Office applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to uphold the College\'s priorities on diversity and equity.
