POSITION SUMMARY, DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS





Position Summary



We are looking for an ambitious marketing intern who wants to apply their marketing and sales skills to add some rocket fuel to our future growth. We're confident in our product and positioning, and we know our ideal customers' personas


--we need your execution skills to effectively communicate our message to as many of those ideal customers as possible.

As an intern in marketing, you will collaborate with our marketing team across all the stages of marketing campaigns. You will have administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies, and a seat at the table in marketing strategy discussions. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels.


We don't expect you to know everything, but we expect you to be the kind of person who is resourceful enough to figure it out with minimal oversight. This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with hands-on knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.


Our company is on a hybrid model, with the entire team in-office (Yonge/Sheppard) Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and the balance of days at home. Our hybrid model is a reflection of the independence that our team is entrusted with in completing their work.





Responsibilities



Support the research and creation of Whitepapers Compile lists of prospective clients for email drip campaigns Create email drip campaigns on our CRM tool Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns Conduct research on prospective clients for customization of sales emails Perform market analysis and competitive research Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks Perform occasional design work such as One-Pagers, promotional presentations to enhance the appearance of client deliverables (e.g., PowerPoint, Word) Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail and web) Assist in writing our monthly newsletter Distribute marketing materials and assist in organizing marketing events. Track and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to provide insigh t Collaborate with analysts and consultants to consistently update and discuss content pillars



Skills & Qualifications



1st, 2nd or 3rd year students enrolled in a business program, who have shown an interest in marketing Strong desire to learn along with professional drive Solid understanding of different marketing techniques (email drip campaign, relationship selling, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent knowledge of MS Office Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g., CRM tools, Pardot, Salesforce, WordPress) Previous exposure to creative tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Professional, Photoshop) Passion for marketing and its best practice
