Who we need:

We are looking for a Marketing Director, Member Engagement to oversee highly impactful, data-science-based omnichannel campaign deployments and personalized member communications. You will drive the member engagement strategy, ensuring a seamless experience across all channel programs. You will be a thought leader, developing and executing a comprehensive contact strategy and managing a small team. You will collaborate cross-functionally to implement marketing technologies, optimize member experience, and drive channel efficiencies.

What\'s in it for you:

Ownership. We are a data science driven company. Our customer database is one of Canada\'s largest and most complex, with data from dozens of different partners and millions of members. Every communication initiative you work on will have a significant impact on the organization as a whole, our partners, and our loyalty program members.

Future forward impact. You will be part of a well-funded, highly visible team - a startup atmosphere with the infrastructure and operational backing of three big brand owners. This is a chance to define and shape your role as part of a future-forward team that values authenticity and invites fresh perspectives with the autonomy to implement your ideas and see them through.

Anticipation. With over 30% of our team promoted within the last year, we have a proven history of supporting the growth of our people. You will work with a manager whose focus is to remove barriers and empower her team - and is really nice too! As we continue to grow our partnerships and member offers, you will gain increased exposure to every major industry we work with. No matter what your next step is at Scene+ or with one of our parent companies, there is always something to look forward to.

As our new Marketing Director, Member Engagement, you will:

  • Identify and implement member solutions. You will take ownership of member health, including engagement and marketability, by proactively identifying issues and developing solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve member experience, resolve concerns, and maximize retention. You will identify member friction points throughout the journey and work with IT and operations teams to address them. You will lead and enhance channel programs to optimize member engagement and drive business growth.
  • Leverage technology to drive success. You will collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of marketing technologies and systems. You will stay updated on the latest marketing technologies, running and measuring test cases and successfully incorporating them into channel strategies.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive contact strategy. You will design and roll out high quality, customized, and well-cadenced communications that leverage data insights, to effectively engage members across various channels. You will manage the deployment of marketing campaigns, ensuring timely execution and proper tracking of results.
  • Implement appropriate technologies to enhance marketing capabilities and streamline operations. You will manage the development and execution of member and partner offers across various channels, lead the work cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of promotions, and analyze offer performance, making data-driven adjustments to optimize results. You will stay updated on industry best practices and implement them to achieve marketing goals.
You bring:
  • The passion. You embody our value of thinking and acting in future-forward ways, continuously researching and exploring the latest tools and approaches in the industry. You are genuinely excited about the possibilities technology can provide and you want to leverage that to create a best-in-class, well-loved loyalty program.
  • The marketing expertise. You are a storyteller with insights into customer behaviour and impactful approaches to reaching target audiences across various channels. You have proven success designing, developing and implementing effective customer (member) centric marketing strategies and comprehensive marketing campaigns. You have a strong understanding of CRM marketing principles and best practices.
  • The project management skills. You can balance priorities, change direction based on shifting needs, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You have expertise in creating plans from end-to-end, managing tasks, timelines, budgets, resources, and communications. You have a results-oriented mindset and can set performance goals and metrics to validate member engagement and marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • The technical skills. You can conduct data analysis to derive and leverage insight to identify opportunities and solve marketing challenges. You have worked with various Marketing Technology (MarTech) solutions to drive personalized experiences and can learn new tools independently and quickly. You are highly proficient with marketing automation platforms, CDP (customer data platforms), CRM systems, offer management tools, and analytics tools to optimize member engagement and track marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • The leadership strength. You can nurture relationships across internal and external teams, gaining trust to influence decisions, and holding your own to champion your ideas. You can manage and inspire a team, provide coaching, remove barriers, and ensure collaboration and alignment on common goals.
