Position Summary
Theatre Ancaster is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator/Content Creator to support and champion our world-class productions and programming that run year-round in Ancaster, Ontario. The Marketing Coordinator/Content Creator has the vital role of managing and executing the diverse marketing needs of our company, which includes multiple product lines. This includes crafting compelling content for our social media channels and print that brings the magic of Theatre Ancaster to life. The Marketing Coordinator/Content Creator works with our brilliant team of volunteers and staff to nurture and grow the Theatre Ancaster brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with program and production leadership, craft fresh and exciting content for social media in support of Theatre Ancaster shows, programming, volunteer opportunities, sponsorship and fundraising
  • Manage all Theatre Ancaster social media channels to drive engagement
  • Develop show specific marketing plans and collaterals
  • Create and manage engaging patron communications, including newsletters and email blasts
  • Create and manage traditional print media marketing initiatives (advertising, news articles, press releases, etc.)
  • Provide input into Theatre Ancaster\xe2\x80\x99s short and long-term marketing strategies
  • Sit as a member of Theatre Ancaster\xe2\x80\x99s Marketing Committee
  • Develop and deliver progress, status and financial reports to the Theatre Ancaster Board of Directors
  • Coordinate with marketing collaborators (graphic designers, photographers, videographers, printers, box office, etc.) as required on projects
  • By visiting and engaging with Theatre Ancaster program and production personnel, be a knowledgeable and passionate champion of Theatre Ancaster, both internally and externally
Requirements:
  • Ideally 3-5 years marketing experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in social media content creation
  • Experience in writing and proofreading creative copy
  • Proficiency with basic graphic design principles and tools (Canva)
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Constant Contact)
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills
  • Capable of working with multiple decision makers
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage multiple projects
  • Commitment and ability to work outside of regular business hours
  • Knowledge of Theatre Ancaster and the Hamilton arts scene is an asset
