Saskatchewan Blue Cross, one of Saskatchewan's Top Employers, is currently recruiting for a full-time temporary Marketing Coordinator to join our team in the Brand department. This position offers the flexibility to be in-office or participate in hybrid options in our Saskatoon or Regina office. This is a temporary position for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide support and lead projects for a wide range of marketing functions which may include communications, advertising, website management, product and market development, social media and community relations
  • Provide content development and management, copywriting and editorial services, and communication expertise, ensuring materials are innovative, reinforce brand recognition, and follow best practices
  • Consult and collaborate with multiple stakeholders within and outside the organization to ensure deliverables meet objectives, timelines and align with strategies to facilitate decisions
  • Actively participate in product and market development by conducting research and analysis, presenting recommendations to key stakeholders and supporting implementation
  • Participate in the creation, ongoing development and implementation of various strategies such as marketing content, brand identity, product development, social media and promotional campaigns
  • Assist in the designing and overall format and content of marketing collateral such as advertising copy, social media tools, written news releases and video scripts
  • Collaborate with Graphic Designers where specialized expertise is required to produce graphic materials for specific projects and proof final designs
  • Analyze the corporate website, making recommendations for enhancing online services, and act as a project coordinator working with key stakeholders on development and implementation
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of processes and procedures within the department
  • Work with internal and external partners to manage the safekeeping of marketing assets including images, electronic files, inventory of print material and creative archive library
  • Evaluate, develop and maintain reports and metrics to assess various marketing activities and projects
  • Provides support to the departmental budgeting process
  • Remain current with company and industry product and service offerings
  • Participate on cross departmental teams or committees
  • Other related duties and project work as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field and 2-5 years' relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience in Public Relations, and/or Communications
  • Demonstrated experience writing/editing marketing materials, proposals, presentations and communications
  • Previous experience in graphic design would be considered an asset
  • Previous advertising agency experience and/or managing advertising suppliers would be considered an asset
  • A demonstrated understanding of the insurance and/or health care industry would be considered an asset
  • Experience in the use of social media tools, analytics, content planning and digital marketing techniques
  • Strong technical skills in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and familiarity with editing software such as Adobe InDesign and/or Illustrator, with the ability to easily learn new programs
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven research, project and content management, and problem-solving skills
  • Well organized with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and able to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Self-starter with strong sense of accountability and initiative, and demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
  • Highly motivated, creative and an independent thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment and passion to excel in the delivery of superior customer service
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
