Summary The Marketing Coordinator utilizes a broad range of skills and experience to support key marketing objectives and goals. As an integral member of the marketing team, you will be asked to create and manage engaging social content, provide support to an ongoing retail email marketing program, and assist with supplier-based promotions, special events, and coordinate multi-media campaigns. Every week will look a little different and your marketing responsibilities will adapt to the evolving business needs. However, your main focus area for Breathe Outdoors will be story telling through content creation and managing the social channels. REQUIREMENTS
Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Design or similar discipline. Equivalent related experience will be considered.
A love for the outdoors, and outdoor experiences/activities.
Proven social media content creation and engagement experience
Previous experience managing social media accounts for business, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Expertise in communication, writing, content development and editing
Intermediate graphic design skills
Familiarity using email marketing software (eg. Mailchimp)
Familiarity using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar design software
Familiarity with social Ad Manager Platforms (eg. Facebook Ad Manager)
Ability to work independently and take ownership for delivery of plans and results
Knowledge of MS Office and content management systems
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google My Business and other Google tools considered an asset
Previous retail marketing experience considered an asset
A passion for the outdoors and outdoor activities is an asset
Photography, professional video editing, or HTML skills considered an asset
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a comprehensive social media strategy across relevant platforms
Create dynamic image, video and web-based content for specific online demographics
Collect data and study online trends
Develop themes, create & schedule posts
Create content promoting events, activities & the brand
Encouraging two-way communication with consumers and fans, answer questions or direct questions to appropriate personnel
Analyze social media analytics for insights and develop and execute strategies to Increase the audience and effectiveness of the social media marketing program
Identify potential influencers or ambassadors to partner with to elevate the Breathe Outdoors brand with niche audiences
Plan and support external and internal events including in-store customer appreciation events, outdoor experiences, customer education events, community engagement events and sponsorships
Assist the Marketing Specialist in the creation and execution of a regular retail email newsletter program
Schedule themes & topics
Liaise with buyers, contributors and creators, and outside suppliers
Analyze newsletter analytics for insights and develop and execute strategies to Increase the audience and effectiveness of the email marketing program
Collaborate with the marketing team on customer-facing and internal promotions
Collaborate with the marketing team on the production of multi-media campaigns including digital, print, broadcast and radio etc.
Create written and visual content that could be used by various business functions including the website, blog posts, event and promotional details, and internal communication documents
Ensure the professional quality and accuracy of external communication for both on-line and printed content
Provide administrative support to the marketing department as directed
Work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing, advertising agencies and media suppliers on various marketing campaigns and promotions as required
Work Conditions Hours of work are usually 8:30am\xe2\x80\x93 5:00pm; however, a rotating schedule of days of the week worked will be depend on event scheduling; overtime and weekend work will be required. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits:
