Job Summary





As part of CED's Marketing and Communications team, the Marketing Coordinator supports the planning and execution of marketing and communications programs and initiatives that promote Calgary as the location of choice for business, investment and talent locally and in key markets nationally and internationally.




Key Responsibilities





Provide day-to-day support across a variety of initiatives, including:


Influencer and Brand Ambassador program management Social media content calendar management Content creation for digital, social, email, and web channels Email marketing campaigns Website updates and content management Graphic design support and coordination Event collateral and event-related email campaigns Sponsored and partner content initiatives




Content & Creative Development


Develop, write, and edit marketing collateral and content for: + Digital and social media platforms
+ Email campaigns
+ Websites and landing pages
+ Marketing collateral and presentations
Develop and update marketing presentations to support internal and external audiences.




Project Coordination


Manage and track project timelines and deliverables. Coordinate printing and production of marketing materials. Liaise with external agencies, sponsors, and vendors to support project execution and ensure deliverables are met.




Reporting & Analytics


Support social media reporting and performance tracking. Web analytics reporting and insights to inform future marketing efforts.




Other duties


Attend CED events, acting as a brand ambassador for CED and other affiliated organizations/programs, and support overall marketing activities. Assists with brand asset collection and curation (images, social graphics, landing pages development) Reviews content for consistency with brand; develops new content for various mediums.

Education





Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or other relevant experience

Experience





Minimum of 2-3 years of technical experience in marketing, communications or other related industries.




Key Competencies




Experience creating social content, including video content Design skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and InDesign) Experience with CMS and CRM platforms, as well as digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics. Proven project management skills: ability to keep marketing schedule on time for advertising/PR/events - experience executing marketing/communications programs. Effective time management Innovative, creative, and hard-working, with a passion for Calgary. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PPT. Detail-oriented/ strong attention to detail. Demonstrated understanding of: + Branding
+ Copywriting
+ Graphic Design
+ Email Marketing Skills
+ Social Media Marketing/Social Media Scheduling Tools (Hootsuite, Sproutsocial)
+ Print Design
+ Campaign integration / content management
+ Writing for the web (SEO understanding)
