GeoVerra is currently seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator who loves variety in their work, thinking outside the box, connecting with others and collaborating. The incumbent will be an integral part of the Marketing and Communications team on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. As GeoVerra\xe2\x80\x99s Marketing Coordinator, you will collaborate with team members to execute work across our digital platforms, support content creation, strategize brand awareness and coordinate events (in short, you can rock many hats).
Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Lead, the Marketing Coordinator will be a driving force at GeoVerra for getting our brand out there (and loud), contributing creative content and demonstrating what it means to be #proudtobeGV. The role is based in Calgary, AB and is eligible for our Flexible Workplace Program.
What you will do:

  • Collaborate with team members to develop campaigns and messaging that contributes to achieving company targets and goals
  • Contribute to planning, creation and execution of content for social media platforms
  • Event and sponsorship coordination and management
  • Understanding GeoVerra\xe2\x80\x99s values, goals and services to communicate the brand messages and goals through content, campaigns and events
  • Manage website content updates and edits
  • Recruitment marketing support
  • Promo item management for external events and stakeholders
  • Advertising graphic/video strategizing and creation
  • Support other team members with the development of internal and external collateral
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years professional marketing-related work experience, preferably in a service-focused or B2B organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Forms, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and SharePoint
  • A quick learner, able to leverage new web technology and social media platforms
  • Event coordination, management and execution experience
  • High energy, reliable and enthusiastic team player
  • Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships and work effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Creative thinker with a key eye for design and detail
  • Ability to craft creative and compelling messages that align with brand messages and values
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and effectively deliver a variety of concurrent projects
  • Experience in Canva, including video creation is considered an asset
  • Experience in digital marketing, SEO, Google Ads would be considered an asset
  • Experience using WordPress or other content management systems is considered an asset
