Position Overview:
The
Marketing Co-op Student
will support the development and execution of internal and external communication initiatives during their work term. This role provides hands-on experience in content creation, digital marketing, internal communications, and event support. The ideal candidate is creative, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
Help ensure brand consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all channels.
Support the development of visual content (graphics, short videos, presentations) using Canva.
Internal Communications Support
Help create materials that support internal campaigns, departmental initiatives, and employee engagement.
Assist in producing newsletters, announcements, posters, and other employee-facing materials.
Coordinate with departments to gather content and ensure clear, consistent messaging.
Digital Marketing Support
Schedule and monitor social media posts across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, etc.).
Track social media engagement and assist with performance reporting.
Update website content and assist with basic web page maintenance (no coding required).
Campaign & Event Support
Support the planning and promotion of marketing campaigns, events, and internal initiatives.
Help coordinate logistics and promotional materials for events or job fairs.
Assist with photography or on-site coverage for events and campaigns.
Research & Analysis
Conduct competitor and market research to identify trends and opportunities.
Support reporting on campaign performance metrics (email open rates, engagement data, web traffic, etc.).
Administrative Support
Assist with general communications and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
Available for a co-op placement from
January to March
.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools.
Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing concepts.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Photography or video creation experience considered an asset (not required).
