The Opportunity



As Alacrity's Marketing Communications Specialist, you'll help bring our story to life through compelling content and thoughtful execution. You'll craft engaging materials that elevate our brand, celebrate our entrepreneurs, and showcase the impact of our programs.

Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you'll turn ideas into content including writing copy, coordinating creative and ensuring every piece aligns with Alacrity's voice and mission.

This role is ideal for someone who loves making ideas tangible, from drafting a headline to launching a campaign. You're equal parts storyteller and doer, with an eye for detail and a passion for seeing creative work make an impact.

Key Responsibilities



Develop and deliver content across multiple channels (website, newsletters, social media, reports and campaigns). Write and edit engaging copy that communicates Alacrity's programs, impact stories and events. Support campaign and content calendar development in collaboration with the Marketing Manager. Coordinate with designers, videographers and other vendors to produce high-quality creative assets. Maintain consistency of brand voice, visuals and tone across all communications. Monitor analytics and engagement metrics to inform content improvements. Support media relations, event communications and partner storytelling as needed.

Qualifications



Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience creating and managing marketing or communications content. Proven ability to design and deliver effective marketing and communications strategies Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong sense of brand storytelling.Experience managing digital platforms (social media, CMS, email marketing, analytics) Comfortable managing multiple projects, deadlines, and feedback loops. Strong project management skills with the ability to balance strategic priorities and tactical execution Experience working within or alongside mission-driven organizations or multi-stakeholder environments is an asset Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Canva, Webflow, Mailchimp, Luma, and web analytics platforms

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
