What we are looking for:
In keeping with Strategic Site Selection's Mission to provide The Best Site Selection Experience, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator will manage all social media platforms, suggesting creative ways to maintain and expand our marketing channels to ultimately increase brand awareness. Your insightful contribution and up-to-date knowledge of social media/marketing trends and best practices will help ensure our online presence aligns with, and helps us achieve, our immediate and long-term business goals. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company's views creatively while ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain company-wide marketing calendar;
Write content such as newsletters, event marketing pieces and social media posts that are engaging and targeting to our "Ideal Customer Profile" to move buyers into the sales funnel;
Work in collaboration with the sales team to ensure they have the appropriate marketing resources to be successful. This includes coordinating the participation of various industry related events, providing marketing collateral, promotions and other resources as required;
Assist in the creation, editing and publishing of digital, video, audio and print content, often preparing content on behalf of CEO;
Assist with event marketing of client events with industry partners, planning, organizing invitations, registrations and ensuring event details are communicated to internal team and to clients effectively;
Administer all company social media accounts - designing social media strategies and setting specific objectives while maintaining brand integrity across all platforms for both SSS and sister company Sandbox Events;
Administer CEO's personal social media accounts;
Create and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion;
Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas;
Analyze market potential, maintaining up to date knowledge of market trends and best practices;
Research and organize various public relations opportunities such as speaking engagements, industry event attendance and participation, community relations, etc.;
Track numerous forms of marketing metrics to measure overall success of various campaigns and marketing efforts, updating Senior Leadership Team on progress and reporting on results of KPIs regularly.
Requirements:
Proven relevant work experience - at least 2 years;
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or a related discipline is preferred;
Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal;
Expert knowledge of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram, and social media marketing;
Tech savvy with working knowledge of various apps/software such as Canva, WordPress, GoDaddy, Constant Contact, etc.;
Strong writing and editing skills - copywriting, blog posts, newsletters, bios, etc.;
Photography and videography skills;
Ability to speak, read and write in French is an asset;
Self-motivated with ability to work well both in a team and independently.
