The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will be involved in the dissemination of information delivery to build team engagement and connection through authentic employee communications. We are seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing team member with the ability to inspire and motivate their peers. With strategic thinking and meticulous attention to detail, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator must work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to: Manager, Corporate Development

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Assist in supporting the overall brand and maintenance of our internal SharePoint intranet site, CBNet.

  • Create and update various materials for CBNet, as well as Yammer (internal communication tool), corporate website, marketing campaigns, and marketing collateral.

  • Assist with the creation and distribution of all company-wide messaging to office and field employees.

  • Ongoing support for various departments through the development of custom communications, promoting and conveying messages and initiatives.

  • Creation and distribution of internal facing corporate newsletter.

  • Improve our storytelling by developing high-quality content and activities for various audiences ranging from company-wide emails, news articles, CBNet updates, presentations, corporate videos, spotlights, newsletters, and events.

  • Proactively source stories from our people and scan Yammer for updates and milestones to develop high-quality external social media posts and thought leadership publications.

  • Support internal Town Hall meetings and other internal events, field celebrations, etc. to increase employee participation and involvement.

  • Plan and execute external events such as volunteer, community involvement and fundraising initiatives.

  • Assist with the ongoing success and profile of our employee celebration and recognition program.

  • Ability to connect with various stakeholders in the business in an outgoing and engaging manner\xe2\x80\x94from senior leaders to field workers on site.

  • Capable of planning and managing internal initiatives, activities, and events.

  • Ability to balance competing priorities and meet or exceed internal client expectations efficiently.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a related field, preferably gained from the construction industry, professional services or a broader B2B background.

  • A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or diploma in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or English is preferred.

  • A love of writing and the ability to convey messages in a clear, concise, and compelling manner; strong oral and written English communication skills are mandatory.

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).

  • Intermediate level design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), HubSpot experience would be an asset.

  • Event Management experience an asset.

  • Must be highly proactive and take the initiative to learn about our people, projects, and purpose.

  • Collaborative approach and strong facilitator who can work well on a team as well as tackle projects independently.

  • Ability to balance competing priorities and meet and manage internal client expectations
