Are you passionate about marketing and communications and want to work for one of Canada's most innovative companies? Spartan Controls is recruiting for

a Marketing Communications Co-op/Intern Student

based in Calgary. This will be a 4 or 8 month temporary student term commencing in September 2025. Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Communications, this position will assist with planning, sourcing and creating high quality and engaging content to be shared across multiple channels. The successful candidate will be collaborative, self-motivated and a creative doer who loves storytelling.

Role and Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to plan, source and create high quality and engaging content to be shared across multiple channels Work closely with the Marketing team to create assets for various channels including website, social media, direct marketing, press releases, print, internal intranet, and other media Assist with updates to our internal intranet Assist the team with video and photo shoots Maintain our digital asset and marketing library Provide support for customer events

Qualifications and Skills

Pursuing a post-secondary degree relating to Marketing, Communications, New Media or Business. Preference will be given to those enrolled in a co-operative education program. Experience in Communications media, video creation, branding and design Experience with Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects Knowledge of print and digital production processes Proficiency in photo/video editing Basic knowledge of HTML and or CSS Basic knowledge of SEO, SEM and understanding of web analytics Confident communicator with meticulous attention to detail Organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects Excellent written and verbal communication skills Effective team-player Entrepreneurial work ethic
