The Marketing Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and implementing go-to-market plans which focus on business development of high growth and new revenue streams at Taylor & Francis. This role will develop in-year and longer-term revenue streams through innovative, effective, and targeted business development marketing, focused on specific customer groups (B2C and B2B), regions, products/services, and disciplines as required.This role will work alongside the Marketing Director \xe2\x80\x93 Business Development, Senior Marketing Manager, as well as other colleagues in Corporate Marketing, and the wider Marketing function. This role will also work together with Commercial colleagues, to ensure there is a clear go-to-market approach, alignment between both functions, and alignment for customers.The Marketing Business Development Manager\xe2\x80\x99s plans and campaigns will be led and informed by performance data, which will underpin strategic and smart decision-making. This role will need to use specialist teams to build out campaigns, setting measurable goals, tracking, monitoring, and reporting on ROI.This role requires an innovative and fast-paced mindset, with an ability to spot and embrace commercial opportunities, explore new routes to market, and use marketing capability to leverage these opportunities at speed to deliver revenue.What you\'ll be doing:

  • Devise, define, and plan marketing initiatives to achieve and exceed Marketing Business Development team goals and revenue growth targets. Align marketing activities to drive key indicators, and revenue targets for the areas of focus. Create, pilot, and test innovative marketing campaigns to drive revenue growth.
  • Track, monitor, and measure success. Analyse sales patterns and other performance measures to build plans and tactics.
  • Collaborate internally across the global marketing team and with other internal functions, including Commercial to ensure alignment of go-to-market plans. Work with other teams, such as Strategy, Product, and Editorial as required.
  • Make informed recommendations using data, and take advantage of opportunities, whilst being flexible and adaptable, to maximise return on investment.
  • Build effective long-term and strategic relationships both internal and external and effectively influence outcomes.
  • Maintain and develop an awareness of external issues and market developments, including competitor activities, needs of customers, advances in technology, and professional and academic trends, and share findings with the business and team.
  • Produce activity and analysis reports for senior management; make recommendations to senior management for improvements to team and departmental objectives.
QualificationsWhat we\'re looking for:

  • Have a demonstrated ability to drive a well-executed integrated marketing programme.

  • Have excellent communication and organisation skills and the ability to inspire others towards a common vision or goal.
  • Have strong presentation skills; able to convey critical information to stakeholders.
  • Be flexible and adaptable with the ability to successfully influence and work in a matrix-environment. An exceptional team player.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deal effectively with change.
  • Be a curious, creative, and critical thinker who can test and learn and think about global and regional strategies to drive value, revenue, and impact.
  • Be customer-focused; able to identify changes in customer needs and create plans to respond to customer needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of new marketing/industry trends and think innovatively and develop new strategies that take advantage of the latest thinking to create and build new markets.
  • Be accountable for managing own learning, taking responsibility to develop skillset.
