Are you looking to start your career in a place where purpose meets creativity? Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation is seeking a Marketing Assistant to support our Marketing & Communications and Brand Strategy Departments.

In this role, you'll help bring campaigns and events to life, support day-to-day operations, and contribute to stories that inspire donor support. You'll manage marketing materials, assist with photo and video shoots, and help coordinate community events that connect people to our mission. You'll also support content creation, track marketing activities, and maintain key assets like testimonials and images. At the same time, you'll provide administrative support to two department leaders--managing schedules, preparing materials, and keeping things organized behind the scenes.

Qualifications:



Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent relevant experience in marketing, event, communications, public relations or related field 1 year of related experience in marketing, brand, communications with calendar management and event logistical support Ability to communicate in a clear and efficient manner Exceptional writing and editing skills; with ability to condense and package information in a visually appealing and logical manner Superior organization, time-management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and following through effectively Strong analytical and problem solving skills Self-directed, takes initiative and can work independently and anticipate issues and needs, and address them proactively Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to maintain relationships with variety of stakeholders Ability to provide exceptional customer service with a donor-centric approach Strong political acuity High attention to detail and accuracy The ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications (365, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), project management/tracking (Monday.com) and chat and video conferencing programs Experience with Peer-to-Peer platforms, using email platforms such as MailChimp, social media platforms and/or online design programs (Canva) an asset

Working Hours, Location and Requirements



This position operates Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, onsite at Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation head office at 1 King Street West, Hamilton, ON. Opportunity to work remotely up to 2 days a week after 3 months of employment based on approval of VP. Travel is required as the position will regularly visit various locations (i.e. Hamilton Health Science affiliated sites, event locations, vendor/printers). A current and satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) or Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) is a requirement of employment; the regional police service will determine the appropriate police check. A cleared status by HHS Employee Health Services is a requirement of employment in accordance with Hamilton Health Sciences policy.
