Marketing and Community Engagement Manager

Key Responsibilities



Marketing & Communications



Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote services, programs, and fundraising initiatives. Manage advertising campaigns (digital, print, radio, and television) and monitor performance. Oversee website content and ensure timely updates using WordPress. Implement improvements recommended in the website audit conducted in fall 2025. Coordinate email campaigns, newsletters, and press releases. Ensure consistent application of branding across all platforms and materials.

Community Engagement



Build and maintain relationships with community partners, businesses, media, and stakeholders. Represent Cornerstone at community events, tradeshows, conferences, and networking opportunities. Coordinate presentations, booths, and speaking engagements to increase visibility. Identify and pursue grant and foundation funding opportunities that align with Cornerstone's mission. Serve as the primary liaison between Cornerstone and post-secondary institutions. Support planning and execution of fundraising and awareness events.

Fund Development Support



Collaborate with the Fund Development Specialist on donor communications, campaigns, and stewardship. Support grant writing and reporting processes as needed. Assist with sponsorship and partnership development. Assist with the creation and implementation of a new donor pathway.

Graphic Design & Social Media Support



Collaborate with the Graphic Designer & Social Media Coordinator on various designs, campaigns, and social media posts. Implement an internal digital marketing and communications request process. Assist with the planning, shooting, reviewing, and editing of informative and promotional videos. Attend social media planning meetings and provide guidance.

Leadership & Team Management



Supervise and support the Fund Development Specialist and Graphic Designer & Social Media Coordinator. Oversee workload, priorities, and deadlines for direct reports. Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback. Approve content, campaigns, and fundraising materials prior to publication. Lead regular check-ins and team meetings to ensure collaboration and accountability.

Strategic & Administrative



Oversee and manage the marketing budget to ensure effective allocation of resources. Contribute to organizational strategic planning and growth initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications



A degree or diploma in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field is preferred. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to plan, implement, and evaluate marketing and communications strategies. Experience with fundraising, donor relations, and community engagement. Proficiency with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and donor management systems. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities. Knowledge of the non-profit sector and mental health services is an asset.
