Our marketing department is a tight-knit group of communications, marketing and graphic designer professionals who help tell the story of Midlands products to customers who will buy and enjoy our variety of thoughtfully designed products.

Summary Role:

This role is part of the Marketing department and plays a key part in telling Midland Power's story of products and brands. The primary responsibility is to support various marketing activities that support the sales of products.

Duties

In a typical day you will:

Track and maintain overview of retail listings of products with new images, video and copy Support Sales Team through preparing product information and assets Maintain an organized database/digital library of all marketing assets Write unique and concise copy for product descriptions for online retail listings, packaging, advertising, and all other marketing Write educational and creative articles for e-newsletter, blogs, social media and incorporate SEO-friendly content and track performance metrics Tradeshow planning and representation with occasional travel to the event, and outside of regular business hours on evenings or weekends Design and upkeep of our Shopify websites for user experience and to promote all current products, and run seasonal promotions Bring creative ideas to continuously improve marketing assets and process

Requirements

University Degree in Marketing or Communications Between 2-5 years of combined marketing and communication experience Able to update online platforms, websites using Shopify or WordPress Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills Organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail Ability to conduct market research to develop deep understanding of product categories, target audiences and draw conclusions from data Solution-focused and resourceful to achieve outcomes Collaborative, ability to adapt and work with different partners Experience using email marketing platforms is an asset
