Title: Marketing and Communications Lead

Location: YMCA of Pictou County (Wellness Centre location)

Position Status: 20-28 hours per week (potential for cross training to secure full time hours)

Hourly Rate: $18-21 per hour

Start Date: July 2025

Position Summary and Responsibilities

As the Marketing and Communications Lead, you will collaborate across the YMCA of Pictou County to develop and execute promotional and awareness campaigns that elevate the association's programs, services, and mission. You are keen to enhance each department's communications by identifying effective communication strategies and deliver creative, brand-aligned content. The content and methods used to communicate are reflective of the diverse audiences served by the YMCA. As the Lead, you will ensure all materials reflect national brand guidelinesto maintaining a consistent and inspiring voice for the organization.

Qualifications:

- Post secondary education in business or equivalent experience.

- Experience working as part of a dynamic team, and self-managing tasks and projects.

- Experience working in Canva and creating marketing assets that are in line with brand guidelines.

- Demonstrate and promote personal understanding of, and appreciation for the mission, vision and values of the YMCA.

Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and proof of valid First Aid and CPR training. Having these documents ready for the interview is recommended.

All employees are required to attend YMCA Child Safeguarding Training.
