Title: Marketing and Communication Coordinator Reports to: Programs, Events and Community Collaboration Manager Location: Fort McMurray, AB Job Site: MML 1935 Head Office McMurray M\xc3\xa9tis Local 1935 exists to pursue the advancement of the M\xc3\xa9tis people of Fort McMurray and Northeastern Alberta. We are looking for a Marketing and Communication Coordinator in Fort McMurray, Alberta, who will design and implement marketing and communication strategies that include marketing campaigns, develop and track customer satisfaction and trends, create and support branding identity, and effectively communicate product and service offerings to various groups of stakeholders. The successful applicant should understand sales strategies to maximize engagement and channels to connect with Members and the community. Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to engage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Summarize and generate analytical reports, graphs, surveys and participation trends.
  • Generate and distribute written communication such as newsletters, e-mails, and press releases.
  • Develop a cohesive social media marketing strategy identifying various tools for engaging various groups and participants.
  • Develop a cohesive brand image that reflects the organization\xe2\x80\x99s direction and values.
  • Responsible for website updates; and support with the visual recognition of partners and sponsors in social media and events.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in drafting the annual report, projects and events packages, wayfinding, and collateral material.
  • Assist Leadership in identifying opportunities and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns, engagement plans, and organizing promotional presentations.
  • Support with membership meetings, programs, and events.
  • Other duties as required.
What you need to succeed
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or diploma in marketing, business, tourism, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience working in marketing campaigns and strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and Microsoft Office programs
  • Digital marketing expert

  • Metis Nation of Alberta (MNA) qualified status
  • Fluency in Cree language
