Job Description







The Marketing and Communications Assistant is a key member of the Marketing and Communication\xe2\x80\x99s team at St. Joseph\xe2\x80\x99s Health Care Foundation. With superb organizational and planning skills, they will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative and organizational support to the Foundation\xe2\x80\x99s marketing, communications, stewardship and event-related activities.

The Marketing and Communications Assistant provides critical day-to-day logistical support to the engaging and busy marketing and communications program and its team. A primary focus for the Assistant will be on event-related and donor relations activities. In addition, they will support the production timelines for ongoing marketing, communication, donor relations projects and events.

The Marketing and Communications Assistant works collaboratively across all teams within the Foundation to support its mission to inspire community investment in healthcare excellence at St. Joseph\xe2\x80\x99s.


Essential Qualifications

  • Post-secondary Diploma in Marketing, Communications or Office Administration
  • 1-3-years administrative experience in a related area such as fundraising, marketing or communications
  • Ability to deal sensitively and professionally with Foundation donors, volunteers and patients.
  • Respect for the role of volunteers in the work of the Foundation.
  • Ability to apply critical conversations skills within the work environment.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Adherence to all Foundation\xe2\x80\x99 Policies and the AFP\xe2\x80\x99s Code of Ethical Conduct and Standards of Practice.
  • Ability to proactively source information and problem-solve.
  • Ability to professionally interact with internal stakeholders in support of the work of development professionals.
  • Advanced skill in software such as, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to produce high quality work in a consistent and accurate manner.
  • Ability to take direction from multiple leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in French would be an asset
Teaching and Research
  • St. Joseph\'s Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph\'s, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties
Immunization Requirements
  • Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph\'s Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid management in the workplace
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
