Department Overview
Collateral Risk Management sits within Capital Markets Risk Management (CMRM) which is responsible for the market and credit risk of TD Securities. A global, multi-faceted and cross product team, the primary objective of the Collateral Management department is the mitigation of counterparty credit risk through the active monitoring of clients' derivative and securities financing portfolios. The department manages collateral for the Toronto, New York, London and Singapore regions. The team has a rare opportunity to support products and business ranging from foreign exchange, commodities, credit, equity, interest rates, securities financing, and prime brokerage. The team manages a wide range of complex processes, with members developing skills and competencies around derivative and security products and their respective business areas, legal agreements, technology flows and regulations.
An Analyst within CMRM Collateral Risk Management will primarily be focused on the effective and efficient mitigation of counterparty credit risk. The Analyst will need to demonstrate innovation and a proactive approach to risk mitigation by highlighting inefficiencies, risks and implementing improvements. In addition, they will be expected to provide a high level of service to their clients.
The role will involve close partnership and interaction with a wide range of areas, including credit, middle office, legal, front office, settlements, and corporate treasury. As a result, the successful candidate will be required to possess strong communication skills.
