Join us!Job SummaryThe Market Analyst is responsible for handling the ongoing contract and pricing management requirements of the business unit for grain and processed grain products. The incumbent works in a group environment and is flexible to workload requirements. The role ensures contract management and strategic marketing initiatives.Main ResponsibilitiesTariff and Contract Managementxc2xb7 Establish market rates for rail movements following CN Pricing process and CN Playbookxc2xb7 Work with the Market Managers to ensure pricing data is processed on time to meet deadlines established for publicationsxc2xb7 Review and manage customer contracts, and agreements or renewals for the Sales departmentxc2xb7 Provide guidance to Account Managers and Accounting Representatives on customer disputesxc2xb7 Assist in completing the strategic account plan for national customers and market strategy plans for Market ManagersResearchxc2xb7 Assess market and modal competition, costs, service requirements and equipment availabilityxc2xb7 Undertake studies related to corridor pricing structure and modal competitionxc2xb7 Contribute to segment business and pricing strategiesxc2xb7 Review nature and scope of segment as well as customer requirementsCostingxc2xb7 Improve CN's cost structurexc2xb7 Assist the Market Manager with the creation of Price Volume Mix Division (PVMD) for major contract renewalsWorking ConditionsThe role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday.
