Job Summary:

Fogh Boat Supplies has an immediate requirement for an experienced

Marine Parts Advisor

. In this key role, you will be responsible for assisting retail and wholesale customers with all marine parts related needs. You will be helping people get what they need to get out on the water. From halyards to oil filters, dock parties to ocean crossings, our customers have diverse needs and we aim to provide the best possible advice and customer service to each of them. Marine industry experience is an big asset.

As a member of Team Fogh we are looking for someone who can:

- Collaborate with customers to identify solutions to various problems on their boat- this can range from identifying and quoting on a replacement engine part, advising on basic electrical/electronics issues, to finding the best wood finishing product for a customer. We try to help our customers with everything boating!

- Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers with inquiries

-Provide quotations for customer part requests. This will involve researching specifications and identifying sources along with providing pricing and availability

-Design and quote on various systems on a boat including plumbing, electrical, mechanical and electronics

- Design and build battery cables based on customer specifications. This has the possibility to expand into rope and structural wire work along with assisting with outside installation/repair work
- Support sales efforts by recommending additional parts or services
- Perform cashiering duties accurately
- Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks
- Knowledge of boating maintenance to assist customers effectively
- Stay informed about market trends in the recreational marine industry

Skills:

- Strong order fulfillment abilities
- Proficiency in math for pricing, quoting and quantity calculations
- Experience in marine parts/sales/service preferred
- Sales skills to promote additional products or services
- Cashiering experience is beneficial
- Ability to maintain accurate customer order records
- 1-2 years min of sailing/powerboating experience
