Job Description
Ocean Pacific Marine is the most comprehensive marine store and boatyard on Northern Vancouver Island, serviced by a 150ton Marine Travelift. Ocean Pacific Marine has been providing parts and service to recreational boaters and commercial vessels in the Campbell River area since 1985. Boatyard projects vary in scope from local recreational & commercial vessels to Department of National Defense & Canadian Government vessels including Coast Guard & RCMP.
Ocean Pacific Marine is currently accepting applications for a:
Marine Electrician (Electronics)
A Marine Electrician troubleshoots, repairs and installs marine related systems. Primary duties would include electrical and electronics systems however, the successful candidate would be required to work on all marine systems. Installations and repairs could include but are not limited to:
AC/DC electrical
Electronics Installation
Engine controls
Hydraulics
Heating
Black water
Fresh water (including water makers)
Running gear
Engine alignment
Bilge pumping
Thru-hulls
Vessels requiring repair and refit range from pleasure craft, sailboats and luxury yachts to tug boats, fishing, Navy, Coast Guard and RCMP vessels.
The ideal candidate will have a certification as a Red Seal Electrician. NMEA and/or ABYC training will be considered an asset.
This is a full time, Monday-Friday position.
