DAS is seeking a capable and career-oriented Manufacturing Technician (Sewing) to join our team in Grand Bank, NL. This position requires a reliable, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individual who is looking for an opportunity to learn and grow within the expanding industry.

Job Functions and Responsibilities
A Manufacturing Technician for Sewing is responsible to sew shelter components on an industrial sewing machine according to documented work instructions.
Dynamic Air Shelters Ltd. (DASL) employees must adhere to company policies and procedures with regard for safety, quality and lean processes.
Specific tasks could include but are not limited to:
Understand drawings of 3D components, measurements, and component language
Operate industrial sewing machines
Mark material to ensure efficient sewing
Gauge and adjust machine settings and accessories for best sewing
Pin and sew logos and artwork
Change machine settings/accessories in accordance with shelter size/design files
Sew components and materials in accordance with production and quality standards
Accurately label components and assemblies
Assist with movement of building components around production floor
Complete required documents accurately (tracking sheets, etc.)
Report maintenance issues or damage to tools, machinery and other equipment to supervisor
Safety and Quality
Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
Report all unsafe conditions and near miss incidents immediately to supervisor
Participate in all meetings and toolbox talks as required
Follow OH&S guidelines as outlined in company policies
Report non-conformances (defects) as soon as they are identified
Bring forward suggestions for improvements (OFIs)
The Manufacturing Technician for Sewing may also be asked from time to time to carry out additional tasks appropriate to his/her skills, as determined by the needs of DASL.
Job-Related Employment Requirements
Fluent in English Language (verbal and written)
Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
Must be able to work Monday to Friday and possess strong time management skills
