General Duties: To supervise and organize plant activities including organizing personnel schedule, following production schedule, shipping and receiving duties, and reporting daily plant production activities. Duties include organizing labour schedule and managing breaks, ensuring production schedule is followed accordingly, and to maintain order on the plant floor and warehouse. Willingness to wear multiple hats and be a team player in a fast-paced start-up environment. Be willing to roll up sleeves to get the job done. This is salaried full time position.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all employees, contractors and visitors on premise adhere to company policies.
Supervise plant staff, prioritizing and coordinating activities for the off shifts.
Ensure the plant floor and grounds are kept orderly and maintained free of hazards.
Communicates the needs and concerns of associates to management.
Receive raw materials, and ship production as per schedule. Ensure orderly shipping & receiving protocols are being adhered to internally.
Respond for pick up requests and schedule shipments.
Mentor, train and coach associates on work expectations and proper techniques.
Generate and follow-up on shift reports for the production floor.
Manage shipping reports for warehouse and provide updates on inventory
Participate in daily staff meetings and prioritize action items.
Work on special projects as directed by the management team.
Contributes to team effort by taking on added tasks as required.
Willingness to jump in and provide assistance to ensure voids are filled or addressed.
Adhere to company's policies and GMP
Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of all data.
Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety meetings.
Lead by example; maintain a safe, secure, enjoyable professional working environment.
Readily accepts other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and organizational skills
Affable, fair and firm with 5+ years supervisory experience
Proficient using Office 365 including spreadsheets, emails, databases
Experienced with inventory management systems
Attention to details and reporting activities
Loyalty to company, self-motivated with a positive attitude
Ability to multi-task and problem solve
Good listener and fair unbiased dealing with conflicts
Flexible work schedule
Typical working conditions:
Schedule may change depending on business requirements. Days, afternoon, nights, or Continental day or night shifts.
Manufacturing plant with continuous interaction on manufacturing floor where PPE is required.
Standing and walking about for long periods, exposure to noise, some dust, and to the elements can be expected.
Pitching in to ensure shift is run safely and productively due to absenteeism, emergency leave, or other short term labour shortage.

This role is scheduled on a rotating day/night continental shift. 2 months days/2 months nights, 12 hour shifts (7 days in 2 weeks). Are you ok with working these shifts?
