Project Manager

Superior Tray Systems Inc. is a leading innovator in the power distribution industry. We design and manufacture top quality cable bus and high bus systems. Our engineering team and innovative products provide a tailored solution to suit each customer's power distribution needs while meeting or exceeding the requirements of electrical codes. We sell our systems across North America and are expanding into new markets around the world.

We began operations in 1996 and our manufacturing facility is located in Delta, BC. We are a small, close-knit team.

We are looking for Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

Direction of project through engineering/design, approvals process, production preparation, production, project specific parts orders, quality control, shipment arrangement, packaging and shipping.

The project manager will work under the supervision and direction of the PM lead. The project manager must have experience with direct client relations on industrial supply contracts for large electrical contractors. Must be capable of running meetings with clients and agents.

The project manager will be trained in quotations and support our quotations lead. The project load will be multiple simultaneous projects.

This position suits a technical candidate who is comfortable working on all tasks in the office and liaising directly with the shop foreman on project specific items relating to production.

The candidate must be capable of completing time sensitive tasks as assigned. The candidate must also be expert in project organization, prioritizing, scheduling, documentation and record keeping as required for multiple concurrent projects in various stages of quotation, design, production and shipping.

Update manuals, write procedures.

Follow the ISO procedures, prepare and participate in audits.

Source Alternate materials and suppliers

Coordinate outside fabrication of parts and assemblies

Qualifications and skills:

Bachelors of Applied Science (i.e. Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Mechatronix). A technical diploma is also accepted.

Ability to work independently and in a team

Good analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Good time management skills and ability to prioritize jobs and workload

Good documentation and organizational skills

Familiarity with excel type spreadsheets and word documents.
