With the continued growth of our business, we are seeking to hire a

Manufacturing Operator"

to join our Production team on the morning shift.

Main Responsibilities

will include (but not limited to):

Understand, and adhere to company SOPs, GMPs and Safety policies and procedures. General duties involving physical handling of product, materials and supplies. Set up the clean equipment for a run based on work order instructions for capsule/tablet size. Ensure that entries are logged accurately and legibly in a timely fashion. Check that the powder matches the job work order, arrange a second check to be done and initialed before starting. Report any problems, discrepancies or deviations to the lead hand or supervisor regarding equipment, product or product identification at the start of, or during a production run. This could be a change in color or texture of powder being run. Complete pre-flight test on machine. Advise the lead hand or supervisor if weight/hardness specifications cannot be met, for help trouble shooting set up issues, before starting run. Follow all instructions on work orders. Confirm that all set up capsule/tablet weights, and tablet hardness and disintegration tests are done and checked by QC before running. Monitor machine during run and recover from machine errors and upsets. Perform quality checks, addressing any weight/hardness variations or any defects that fall outside of the AQL. Place all capsules in the appropriate containers, and label containers clearly with the weights and identification labels. Clean the room, equipment, and logs room and equipment usage and cleaning. Complete work order paperwork. Other duties as assigned.

The position requires the individual to:

Demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Work efficiently within timelines and deadlines. Adapt in a changing environment. Co-operate with co-workers and demonstrate a positive attitude. Able to lift, up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time. Able to work within a powder environment (PPE provided). Fluent in English, verbal and written. Experience working in a manufacturing environment considered an asset.

Shifts available:

Shift: 6:00am to 2:15pm Monday to Friday.

Rate:

$19.48 per hour
