Manufacturing Operator Lead Hand (blending)

Job Description

We are hiring a Manufacturing Operator Lead Hand to join our nutraceutical company, where we produce high-quality health supplements. In this role, you will work closely with our Supervisors to oversee production activities, guide team members, and ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Permanent Full-Time (37.5 hours)

Monday to Friday 6:15 am - 2:15 pm



This position also requires you to be clean-shaven (no facial hair) to ensure a proper respirator fit and to comply with safety protocols, including WorkSafeBC regulations.



In this role, you will:



Lead daily production operations by assigning machine operators, ensuring shift readiness, and coordinating with other Lead Hands. Operate machinery (including blenders, tableting/encapsulation/coating machines, and mobile equipment) and promptly report malfunctions or quality concerns to the supervisor. Provide on-the-job training, technical support, and performance feedback to team members while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Ensure strict compliance with all SOPs, cGMP standards, safety policies, and equipment cleaning protocols. Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble machinery and auxiliary equipment; maintain cleanroom standards.

You have:



Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in food production, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical industries, with a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic maintenance. The ability to deliver clear 1:1 training, provide constructive feedback, and coach team members to enhance performance. A professional, safety-first mindset and the ability to consistently set a positive example for others. Proficiency in Windows-based applications, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
